  • Real Estate Pre-Licensing Courses:

  1. Examination Requirements

    To qualify to take an examination for real estate salesperson license and applicant must submit evidence (transcript)of having completed a college level course in Real Estate Principles. In additional to Real Estate Principles, the applicant must having taken other two courses in Real Estate Practice and Real Estate Finance (optional selection as Appraisal, Economics, etc.). No more than two correspondence courses may be completed in any five weeks period. The maximum time to complete the course is one year from date of enrollment.

  2. Method of Course presentation (Number of Final Exam questions, Types of Questions, Time, and Mini Passing Percentage)

    Ameristar offer a self-directed correspondence course. Each course’s credit hours is 45 hours. Successful completion of reading all of the text material and pass an open-book Final Examination for each course. The minimum passing grade for each final is 60%. The Final Exam is 100 Mutiple Choice questions. The Final Exam must be held and taken under supervision by someone appointed by the school. Student will be allowed 2 1/2 hours to complete each exam. Ameriistar offered two alternative Exams. In the event the student failed any Final Exam, the first time, the student will be allowed to review the course materials and take the Exam a second time. The student will have up to one year from the student enrollment date to retake the second exam. In the event the student failed the Final Exam twice, and additional fee may be charged if the student wish to repeat the course(s). If the student failed to complete the course within one year, the school’s obligation is completed and a fee will be charged if the student wish to re-enroll. A Certificate of Completion will be issued by the course sponsor within one week of the student passing the Final Exam.

  3. Course fees

    Total fees for each course is $75. ($35 Registration-nonrefundable, Text Book $25, Shipping and Handling fee $15).

  4. Refund /Cancellation Policy

    The fee for the course including the textbook and practice exam materials. Student will be allowed one year from the date of enrollment. to complete the course. In the event the student wish to cancel his application, the student must notify the school by certified mail within 7 working days of the enrollment date. Upon return of all course materials to the school, the student will be entitled to a refund of all tuition moneys paid less a $35 registration and the processing fee. Once the 7 days refund period has passed, the refunds will be not allowed.

CORESPONDENCE COURSE IDENTIFICATION STATEMENT

Participants shall present one of the following forms of identification immediately before the administration of the final examination:

A; A current California driver’s license.

B. A current identification card of the California Vehicle Code described in Section 13000.

C. Any identification of the participant by a government agency or a recognized real estate related trade organization within the immediately preceding five years which bears a photograph, signature, and identification number of the participant.
